Nominations Invited: Guide the national AAUP through 2012 and beyond

Any active AAUP member who receives the endorsements of
six active members will be placed on the ballot for election

Council Districts:
At Large - There are also three at-large Council positions available. The national officers and the Council are responsible for overseeing the affairs of the Association, including setting dues, overseeing finances, establishing standing committees, and promoting the exchange of ideas between the membership, the leadership, and the staff. The Council also acts on policy recommendations from the Assembly of State Conferences (ASC), the umbrella organization for individual state conferences; and the Collective Bargaining Congress (CBC), the umbrella organization for local AAUP collective bargaining chapters and affiliates. Council generally meets in person twice a year in Washington, D.C. If you are interested in being considered as a candidate or nominating a candidate, please carefully read all of the information on the Nominations Invited page of the AAUP website. The page describes the requirements and procedure for becoming or nominating an eligible candidate for Council. The deadline to submit all required materials is Thursday, December 15, 2011.
